An American company with a Brazilian DNA.
After working 20 years as a successful lawyer in the wealthy city of Ribeirão Preto, state of São Paulo, Brazil, Fauzi Saab was invited to become partner in a sausage company in the state of Florida, USA. With no experience in the sausage business, he worked as the sales person and quickly got to know the most important supermarkets, meat markets, steakhouses and restaurants in Florida and many other states in US. Nonetheless, the partnership didn't work out right and two years later, Fauzi left the company. It was his second complete turnaround, now at 48 years old. In January, 2018 Fauzi decided to start a new business distributing sausage from a different company in the markets he used to sell his former company's products. This is how Saab Foods LLC was created, initially with the name Saab Services LLC.
Fauzi got his Pacifica with a big cooler and knocked at Ornna Foods asking for some credit. Renato Ornna sold him sausages with one week term of payment. He put them in the Pacifica and went to a supermarket he used to work with. He sold the sausages and the supermarket payed cash. The next day he went back to Ornna, payed the products he had bought and bought some more. Then he went to another supermarket, and another, and the work started rolling.
For a long time Fauzi filled up his car with sausage products and went to many cities in Florida, Georgia, South and North Carolina, many times driving during the night to avoid traffic, traveling without sleeping. Fauzi loaded the car with the products, negotiated purchases and sales, carried the products to the clients and many times put the products on the markets' shelf.
After some time Fauzi bought a van and hired his first collaborator, Henrique Miranda. Together, they made insertions in the markets of other frozen/refrigerated products, but went back to Saab's core business, the meat and sausage markets. Important to mention that sausage, initially the only product in the company's list of products, became only one of the list, because Saab Foods sells a long list of Brazilian, American and latino meat cuts to many different markets.
Now Saab Foods has 6 collaborators, a warehouse, 3 trucks and sells and distributes its products to important supermarkets and restaurants like Fogo de Chão, Texas de Brasil, Bravo, Key Food, Latinos, Rokkas Supermarket and many more, in Florida and other states. We also buy from major meat distributors.
